Darshan Raval, an Indian singer, actor, a lyricist, composer was born in Ahmedabad. This Indie music rockstar’s story is amazing and has to be shared with our readers. He started his career with re-singing popular bollywood songs. 

It grabbed him enough attention to get selected for the auditions of the reality singing show, ‘India Raw Star’ in 2014. Though he didn’t win, but it paved his path to fame. He was able to capture a good web space in less than a year. 

His bollywood debut with “Jab Tum Chaho” composed by Himesh Reshammiya for ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, a Salman Khan starer movie granted him his first bout of mainstream attention and this is what made him stand apart among others. 

He rose to super stardom by understanding and balancing an organic digital growth with successful bollywood career, simultaneously crafting a reputation as an artist who is not willing to sacrifice on creativity.

GL. Describe Darshan Raval in one sentence?
DR. I am funny and emotional person and a fast learner.

GL. At what age did you realize that music is what you want to pursue as a career?
DR. In 7th/8th standard, I realised that music is what I wanted to do. But I had to study and start pursuing an engineering degree to meet the expectations of my family. 

GL. If not a singer what would you have been doing?
DR. I would have been a traveler, RJ or photographer. 

GL. What does music mean to you? Who has supported you to reach so far?
DR. Music for me is a way to express what I feel and what I live with. My mom has always been a support for me and definitely my fans too play an important role.

GL. The lowest point of your career?
DR. Is when I got popular, as I had too much of pressure and had no clue what to do in my career. This was right after India's Raw Star. 

GL. Best moment of your career?
DR. There have been lot of moments, there can't be one particular moment. So it is difficult for me to select one.

GL. Which song of yours is most close to your heart and why?
DR. The major turning point and my favourite is ‘Meri Pehli Mohabbat’ and in Bollywood it is Chogada.

GL. What's your mantra for success?
DR. I think success is not a full stop. For me, success is a journey and I have to enjoy this journey. 

GL. The best advice you could give to any budding singer?
DR. Don't loose hope, keep doing it. Go on and on until you reach to your people or people will find you one day. 

GL. If you could change one thing about you, what would it be?
DR. I would start getting up early in the morning. 

GL. Which music artist would you like to collaborate with in the future?
DR. Hardy Sandhu.

GL. What's next on the work front?
DR. My latest song ‘Bhula Dunga’ has just been released. Next in line is a surprise.
